Early Findings from an Experimental Evaluation of Accelerated Pathways in Texas
This presentation describes early impact and implementation findings from a randomized controlled trial of writing/reading corequisites in five Texas community colleges. The impact findings are one-year results from the first cohort of students randomized in fall 2016. Implementation findings describe the different models in place across the colleges and provide some evidence on the degree to which these corequisites are incorporating promising evidence-based developmental education practices.
