Description:
This report describes results from a statewide study of the implementation of corequisites in Texas community colleges. Researchers describe the national corequisite reform movement, the corequisite policy in Texas, and the IES-funded corequisite study currently underway in Texas. In addition, the report describes five types of corequisites being implemented in Texas, challenges with implementation reported by community colleges, and strategies that institutions are using to overcome these challenges. These lessons learned offer important guidance to other states and institutions considering corequisite reforms.
